Weekend Group Long Runs
A variety of weekend long run options are arranged by email. On Tuesday or Wednesday the long run coordinator requests long run leaders (i.e., anyone who is willing to commit to a particular place and time) to send him their long run plans, and those plans are then summarized in a subsequent email sent to all team members on Thursday or Friday. RSVP's to the long run leaders are encouraged in case there are any last-minute changes of plan, but just showing up is fine as well. The long run leaders will announce their intended distance, but all paces and distances are welcome. Family and friends who are not team members are also welcome to join.

Common starting locations of the runs include:

Tupelo: 5700 Elvas Ave. Sacramento, CA 95819 (http://www.nakedcoffee.net/tupelo.html). It's about 0.6 miles from the parking lot to the bike trail on the west side of the H St. Bridge, and about 2 miles to the Howe Street undercrossing (mile 8.5).  map

RIver's Edge Cafe & Espresso / Big Lots: Glenbrook Shopping Center: 8740 La Riviera Dr, Sacramento, CA 95826 (http://www.riversedgecafeonline.com). It's 0.4 miles from the parking lot, just over the Watt Ave Bridge, to mile 10.0 of the American River Bike trail.  map

Bella Bru: 5038 Fair Oaks Blvd. Carmichael, CA 95608 (http://bellabrucafe.com/carmichael.php). It's 0.8 miles from the parking lot to mile 13.5 of the American River Bike trail, where the question is always "left or right?".  map
