1ST WAVE START TIME: 8:30 A.M. at East Fort Baker. Rain or Shine!
There is no parking or registration at the start.

 

NO PARKING or DROP-OFFS at the START
Start Area DOES NOT ACCOMMODATE OR ALLOW participant drop-off or Parking. Participants must take event shuttles to start area.

NO REGISTRATION SERVICES at the START
No Registration/Will Call services at the Start area*****these services are at Aquatic Park.

BUS SHUTTLES TO START FROM SAN FRANCISCO
Buses leave from Aquatic Park beginning at 6:30 A.M. You must arrive by 8:00 A.M. to ensure a seat on the bus. YOU MUST HAVE A BIB NUMBER TO GET ON SHUTTLE BUS. There are no post-race shuttles.

BUS SHUTTLES TO START FROM SAUSALITO
Buses will leave from downtown Sausalito between 7:00 and 8:00 A.M. Bus pick-up will be located at Bridgeway and Princess. YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED AND HAVE A BIB NUMBER TO GET ON THE SHUTTLE BUS. There are no post-race shuttles.

START AREA
• Participants must take bus shuttles to the start area.

3 WAVE START
15 minute intervals between waves will decrease crowding on the course. Waves are assigned by age and best 2011 10K time and date entry is received. Entries mailed in together will automatically be assigned to same wave (wave #2 or #3). All runners have an equal opportunity to score, qualify and win. Computers adjust the times according to the wave start. ABSOLUTELY NO FIRST WAVE ASSIGNMENTS RACE DAY!
COURSE
Certified 12K (7.45 Miles) course from East Fort Baker; across the Golden Gate Bridge west sidewalk to Aquatic Park. Hilly, paved and beautiful. Sorry, for safety reasons, no dogs or wheels (i.e. baby strollers, baby joggers or skates) allowed on the course or on the shuttle buses. After two hours, participants will be moved to the sidewalks/paths to finish. The Finish Line will be open till Noon.

CHIP TIMING
You will receive your bib # with the timing chip - see CHIP HOW TO for instructions on attaching the chip. The top 3 overall men and women as well as all USA Track & Field Prize money winners will be determined by the gun/horn start, age division winners will be determined by chip timing start. 

 

Pacific Association - USA Track & Field Grand Prix Long Course

$2900. Award winners must be PA/USATF members. Prize money is awarded to PA/USATF members only. PA/USATF Championship divisions as follows: Open, Masters, Senior, Super Senior, Veteran and Teams.

Earphones are not allowed for PA/USATF members who are competing for the prize money and/or points.
EMERALD BONUS PRIZE: $1,000 for man and/or woman who beats the open men's or women's course record. Current course records: Women’s -Linda Somers-Smith, 40:27 (1995)*, Men’s -Bill Donakowski, 35:48 (1987)*
